Learning Beyond the Classroom

As part of Stars College’s commitment to experiential learning, students recently took part in an educational visit to the Civil Defense Center, where they had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the vital role this organization plays in protecting communities and saving lives. The visit provided students with valuable insight into emergency response, safety procedures, and public service.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
During the visit, Civil Defense officers introduced students to the core responsibilities of the organization, including firefighting, rescue operations, disaster response, and emergency medical assistance. Through interactive discussions, students gained a clearer understanding of how Civil Defense teams operate during crises and the importance of preparedness, teamwork, and quick decision-making.

Exploring Equipment and Protective Gear
One of the highlights of the visit was the guided tour of the Civil Defense facilities and equipment. Students explored emergency vehicles, protective uniforms, firefighting tools, and rescue gear. Officers explained how each piece of equipment is used in real-life situations, allowing students to appreciate the technical knowledge and physical readiness required for this essential work.
Promoting Safety Awareness and Responsibility
The visit also focused on safety education. Students learned basic principles of fire prevention, emergency awareness, and how to act responsibly in dangerous situations. These lessons helped reinforce the importance of personal safety and community responsibility, empowering students with knowledge that can be applied in everyday life.
Inspiring Respect for Public Service
Through this meaningful experience, students developed a deeper respect for the dedication and courage of Civil Defense personnel. The visit encouraged curiosity, civic awareness, and appreciation for those who serve the community, highlighting the value of public service and cooperation in building a safer society.
Stars College extends its sincere thanks to the Civil Defense team for their warm welcome, guidance, and commitment to educating young learners. Experiences like this continue to enrich student learning and connect classroom knowledge with real-world understanding.
